Look, everyone! Gather round! It’s the amazing Casio F-91W!

I have too much tech in my life. All day, it feels like I’m in front of a screen, mashing on a keyboard, answering emails, and attending Zoom calls. It feels good to leave the computer at the end of a long day. But even then, the tech still comes with me.

Including my Apple Watch. I had silenced most notifications on the device, but it still interrupted me all the time anyway. It widened my surface area of concern. How was my HRV that day? Did my VO2 max budge? What is the exact time the sun will set today? Etc etc.

Recently, frustrated, I bought a Casio F-91WIt costs $24.99 on Amazon. Here’s what it looks like on my hairy blonde arm:

Here’s my 25-letter review: I fu**ing love this thing. It’s so dumb. It has been made since 1989 and the battery lasts seven years. Here’s a complete list of everything that it tells me:

  • The time
  • The day of the week
  • The number of the month
  • Whether I have a morning alarm set
  • Whether it will beep every hour, on the hour (I turn this on as I work and off when I wind down for bed).

The watch is simple and I love it. So consider this my review. Five stars. The best watch you can buy today. That is all. Thank you for coming to my TED talk.

P.s., I was interrupted a total of zero times writing this mini review.
